Patrick Roy is known for having some bizarre antics as a head coach, and that hasn't stopped in his time with the Islanders, as he held a strange practice for the Islanders today after dropping their first game of the series to the Hurricanes.

Playoff hockey is a unique time for several teams, especially when it is made aware of how teams prioritize practicing and recovery. Some teams will consistently hold full practices between days, while others, like the Toronto Maple Leafs, will have optional practices for players who don't get much ice time.

Patrick Roy and the New York Islanders had their own unique practice today, one that lasted just 13 minutes. This was likely a way for Roy to get everyone on the ice and moving without draining them too much before their game tonight.

The Islanders' morning practice lasted exactly 13 minutes.

"The shortest practice I've seen in a very long time," a local press member told me here in Carolina.

The islanders lost their first game against the Hurricanes 3-1 on Saturday night and will look to bounce back and even the series tonight. They play in Carolina for game two, and a win would be a crucial steal of an away game in what is expected to be a tight series.
