Nikita Zadorov, always one to speak his mind, dropped another bombshell on Tuesday, taking aim at NHL Player Safety. The Vancouver Canucks defenseman wasn't pleased about Carson Soucy's suspension and used it as his moment to shine a spotlight on how the league dishes out punishment. Soucy got slapped with a one-game suspension for cross-checking Connor McDavid, fair enough. Yet Zadorov, got hit with a $5,000 fine for his own cross-check on McDavid. Zadorov's frustration hit its peak when he pointed out that no Oilers players faced supplementary discipline. McDavid gave Soucy, with a two-hand slash, and Zach Hyman even cross-checked Zadorov in the face, leaving him with a cut. Yet, neither of them faced any consequences.

They have to protect their investment.. that's my understanding».
