This afternoon new reports have come in confirming the status of Brad Marchand for Game 5 against the Florida Panthers. Those reports have indicated he will be out with an injury.

Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand has been dealing with a potential injury ever since taking a huge hit from Florida Panthers forward Sam Bennett a couple of nights ago.

Marchand had to exit Game 3 & is out tonight for Game 4

The hit suffered in Game 3 forced Brad Marchand to leave and then kept him out of Game 4. This morning Brad Marchand returned to the ice for the first time since being injured.

This footage of Brad Marchand skating created hope that he would be returning for Game 5. Sadly for Bruins fans, a report from Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic has confirmed that Brad Marchand will be out again for tonight's game.

Brad Marchand will not play tonight.

In similar fashion to Toronto Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews, Brad Marchand participated in the morning skate but will not play. If the series continues past Game 5 Brad Marchand could have a chance to return.

For now, the Boston Bruins will go into a must-win game without their captain and one of their top forwards.
