Today a new update has emerged in the criminal case against Matt Petgrave that comes from the passing of Adam Johnson. Sources have confirmed he has posted bail once again.

The investigation into Sheffield Steelers Matt Petgrave has been underway since November of 2023. He was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after his skate made contact with Nottingham Panthers Adam Johnson's neck ending Adam Johnson's life.

BREAKING: ARREST MADE

A man has been arrested for manslaughter and the death of ice hockey player Adam Johnson.

Many are speculating that the arrested individual is Matt Petgrave, whose skate struck Johnson in the neck during the October 28th game

A new update has confirmed that the investigation is continuing and Matt Petgrave had to bail himself out of jail in the United Kingdom once again. The new bail period means he will be out until June 2024.

Matt Petgrave, who is under arrest on suspicion of manslaughter to Adam Johnson during a game in the United Kingdom's top flight hockey league, has been re-bailed for the third time, with the extension spanning to June 26th, 2024.

He is still to remain in Nottingham until a trial.

The trial is expected at some point but as of now, no official date has been set. Other than these bail updates the police themselves have not given updates on the investigation. There still is no evidence that has been presented beyond the original video that would warrant a trial into the unfortunate matter.

As the trial date is set and a trial begins we will continue to update this story.
