After the game Berube was full of praise for Marner when speaking to the media.

Berube gave a glowing review of Marner's skill and effort throughout the season and across his tenure in Toronto as a whole.

Yeah, it was pretty incredible. I just found out after the game that it's the fastest in Leafs history. He's a heck of a player. We all know that. You guys have seen him a lot more than me over the years. There's not much he can't do, you know, in terms of the game,

Then Maple Leafs captain Auston Matthews spoke about Marner and echoed many of Berube's comments about Marner's skill and ability to come up clutch in big games.

That's what he does. You know, he makes big time plays when we need him. And he definitely did that tonight.

As for Marner himself he decided to take the relaxed and humble approach thanking his teammates and support staff around him that put him in a good place to succeed through his NHL career so far.

It's a cool milestone. Obviously, it doesn't happen without a lot of support around you through the nine years that I've been here. So very fortunate to play with some really great players and some guys that have made it easy for me to do my job. So thankful for the the guys that are around me

With the milestone secured for Marner and the losing streak snapped for the Maple Leafs they will now look to strengthen their lead in the Atlantic Division and keep the good vibes going.

The Maple Leafs will next take on Original Six rival the Montreal Canadiens tomorrow night.
