The Toronto Maple Leafs dropped game three against the Boston Bruins 4-2 at home tonight. During the game Brad Marchand got away with tripping Tyler Bertuzzi, leading Sheldon Keefe to call out the officials in his post-game presser. NHL insider Chris Johnston reported Keefe's words on X tonight, quoting a section of his comments specifically about Brad Marchand. Marchand got away with a blatant tripping penalty on Tyler Bertuzzi seconds before Trent Fredrick tied the game at 1. Sheldon Keefe on Marchand: He gets calls. It's unbelievable, actually, how it goes. You've got to play through that stuff. I don't think there's another player in this series who gets away with taking out Bertuzzi's legs the way that he does. It's an art and he's elite at it.

Fans picked up on the idea that Keefe is desperate. The general consensus seems to be that his job depends on the outcome of this series. With the team down 2-1, his job could now potentially be in serious jeopardy. HE KNOWS HIS JOB IS COOKED 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Keefe has one year remaining on his deal with the team. Brad Treliving could easily end it early should he feel the team underperformed expectations. Considering their first-round breakthrough last season, those expectations very well may be high. That being said, William Nylander's absence muddies things as he is that important to the team's overall success. Job on the line

We will just have to wait and see how the rest of the series plays out before we can see for sure what Keefe's fate will be.
