Today a new report from NHL analyst and insider Jeff Marek has connected the Oilers to a young center from the Boston Bruins who could be a potential replacement for Ryan McLeod after the Oilers traded him away this summer. <h3>Jeff Marek Links The Oilers To A Center From The Boston Bruins</h3> With the Oilers still feeling the effects of the McLeod trade and not finding a true replacement in the middle six Jeff Marek believes he has found a potential solution. Similar to McLeod, Frederic is just 26 years old and has his best hockey in front of him and could be looking for a change of scenery to jolt his career. If Stan Bowman and the Oilers feel that center depth is a priority at this year's trade deadline then trying to swing Frederic away from the Bruins would be a great idea. Of course, the Bruins would have to be willing to let Frederic go and it is currently unclear if they would be willing to do so. As the trade deadline approaches Frederic will be added to the growing list of potential players to keep tabs on for the Oilers as the deadline gets closer.
