This evening sad news has been passed along by the Toronto Maple Leafs as they have confirmed former defenseman Larry McIntyre has passed away. The Toronto and hockey community has suffered another loss this evening as the Toronto Maple Leafs announced Larry McIntyre has passed away at the age of 75. We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Larry McIntyre <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/LeafsAlumni/status/1864015335340356077'> </a></blockquote></div> <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/ATHornHockey/status/1864113447136334256'> </a></blockquote></div> Larry McIntyre was a 3rd round pick in the 1969 NHL Draft being selected 31st overall. After being selected Larry McIntyre went to the CHL playing 60 games with the Tulsa Oilers and even earning his first appearance with the Toronto Maple Leafs. During the 1970 season, Larry McIntyre would also spend some time in the AHL with the Buffalo Bisons and win the 1970 Calder Cup Championship After spending 2 more seasons with the Tulsa Oilers Larry McIntyre would get his best run in the NHL playing 40 games during the 1972-73 season tallying 3 points. He would go on to finish out his career spending time with the Seattle Totems and the Tulsa Oilers before deciding to retire in 1976. In his CHL career with the Tulsa Oilers Larry McIntyre would play over 300 games with the team and tally a total of 89 points during his playing days.
