On social media and television Nick Robertson is getting scolded for pushing his teammate. First by Sportsnet analyst Nick Kypreos.

Then a former Toronto Maple Leafs staff member who was an analytics analyst also called out Nick Robertson for his dangerous actions.

With Nick Robertson's trade request from earlier this summer, this might be the final straw to get him sent out of town and to a new team. If not depending on how back William Nylander's injury is Nick Robertson could be in for a long year from the Toronto fans and media. On the team side of things, William Nylander was supposed to be the solution at second-line center for the Maple Leafs. If he is out for an extended period of time that opens up a major hole in the Toronto Maple Leafs lineup. Depending on the diagnosis the Maple Leafs might have to either move Max Domi to center or move John Tavares up the lineup. Another solution could be giving one of the young players like Easton Cowan an opportunity on the roster to begin the season. What the Maple Leafs do will all depend on the severity of the potential injury suffered by William Nylander. According to a new update from the team William Nylander will not be returning to tonight's game. The official designation lists precaution as the reason for William Nylander's hold out.

With this in mind, it sounds as though William Nylander could be good to go. However, it remains to be seen after the game and the following days if that remains the case after this scary moment.
