This evening news has come in that beloved national anthem singer for the Vancouver Canucks Jugpreet Bajwa was struck by a car while crossing Quebec Street in Vancouver. According to a post on X from Bajwa himself, he was struck by a car while crossing the street to the Main Street-Science World SkyTrain. <div align='center' class='pl20 pr20'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/JuggyJag/status/1884361030798647801'> </a></blockquote></div> According to further reports Bajwa who is blind in both eyes after surviving retinoblastoma eye cancer as a child was crossing the street with the assistance of a woman named Cathy who he had recently met. When the pair went to cross the street they were both struck by a distracted driver luckily both came away with minor injuries and were able to return home. Bajwa spoke with the media about the entire ordeal and how is feeling in the aftermath of the accident. It was a really scary situation. It could have been a lot worse. It's definitely one of those things where it kind of rattles you for a bit. I was able to get up, thankfully, eventually. I've been still feeling a bit dizzy. So we'll see how this all goes. He then went on to speak about Cathy the woman who was there with him when the accident occurred and called her his saving grace in that moment. She was a saving grace in a lot of ways, Bajwa said. I feel completely horrible for her because she definitely got quite a bit of it as well. While both Bajwa and Cathy made it out of this incident relatively unscathed it is a reminder to all who take to the roads behind the wheel of a car to be aware of your surroundings.
