Today amidst all of the chaos and potential trade reports going on in Vancouver Jake DeBrusk has spoken about how he and his teammates are feeling. Yesterday it seemed that a resolution was close to coming to reality in the Vancouver Canucks drama as J.T. Miller was nearly traded according to multiple reports. With Miller still being a member of the Canucks today of course the media had a lot of questions for Miller himself and several other members of the Canucks. When speaking with Miller he admitted that he expects to be in Vancouver today, tomorrow, and going forward and confirmed he has not requested a trade. I'm not getting into this, I'm planning on being a Canuck today, tomorrow. Whatever happens, happens. I'm focused on the next game.

After Miller spoke about his future with the Canucks his teammate Jake DeBrusk got an opportunity to address all the rumors around the team and talked about how much he hopes Miller and Pettersson stick around.
Jake DeBrusk responds to rumors surrounding his teammates J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson
During his post-game comments, DeBrusk was asked what his perspective is on the feud between Miller and Pettersson and what he hopes is going to happen going forward. DeBrusk was complimentary of both players and admitted them being in Vancouver is one of the main reasons he decided to sign in Vancouver as a free agent after leaving the Boston Bruins. I'm happy he was playing for us tonight, DeBrusk said after the game, via Sportsnet. I've been here for 45 games. You know, I signed here for a reason. I signed here to either play with Millsy or Elias (Pettersson). My main thing was to play with those two guys. So I don't want (a trade) to happen. I don't want them to leave This is an interesting quote from DeBrusk as over the last month reports had come out indicating that the problems between Pettersson and Miller were tearing apart the locker room. From DeBrusk's comments it seems like that might not be the case but regardless a trade seems to be in the works eventually to find a new home for J.T. Miller.
