Dan Milstein, the agent representing Vancouver Canucks defenseman Nikita Zadorov had something to say about those free agency rumors. According to a report from Sportsnet's Iain MacIntyre, the Canucks and Zadorov were supposedly confident in their contract talks. Amid Canuck coaching news the last couple of weeks, there has been significant traction in contract talks w UFAs Nikita Zadorov and Elias Lindholm. Maybe neither re-signs, but it's possible the Canucks could keep both players.

But Milstein wasn't having it he called it fake news.

So, it looks like those talks might not be going as well as we thought. Rumors have also surfaced Zadorov already turned down the Canucks' first offer. Zadorov won over the hearts of Canucks fans everywhere during his few months on the team. Yet with his unrestricted free agency looming on July 1st, he's being patient. With less than a month to go before the big day, the Canucks have an abundance of free agents to sign. With just three defensemen signed for next season, it'll be intriguing to see who the latter three will be.
