The Toronto Maple Leafs brought in Ryan Reaves in the offseason to add some toughness and character to their team. Today he showed off that toughness again as he fought Canadiens tough guy Michael Pezzetta. Reaves and Pezzetta are both cut from the same cloth. While the 26-year-old Canadiens center may be slightly more skilled with the puck than Reaves, both players are ultimately there for their physicality. As such, they were quick to drop the gloves when Reaves was upset about a hit made on one of his teammates earlier in the contest. Reaves and Pezzetta drop the gloves 👊

After the fight, Reaves was up to his usual antics in the penalty box. He was chirping Pezzetta as he watched the jumbotron replay of the fight, emphasizing one of the blows he landed on the young Canadien. Hahaha how can you not love Ryan Reaves? #LeafsForever

This is the first time in both players careers that they have fought each other. However, Reaves did fight Pezzetta's teammate Arber Xhekaj earlier in the season.

Reaves seems to have gotten the better result this time around and with this being the last game between these teams this season. Pezzetta will have to wait until next year for a rematch.
