2024 Hockey Hall of Fame class officially announced

The Hockey Hall of Fame announced that Pavel Datsyuk, Jeremy Roenick, Shea Weber, Natalie Darwitz, and Krissy Wendell-Pohl will be inducted as players, while Colin Campbell and David Poile will be honored as builders in a ceremony this November in Toronto.

announced Tuesday that players Pavel Datsyuk, Jeremy Roenick, Shea Weber, Natalie Darwitz and Krissy Wendell-Pohl and builders Colin Campbell and David Poile have been elected for induction in November:

Pavel Datsyuk, who played 14 seasons with the Detroit Red Wings, led the team to two Stanley Cups in 2002 and 2004. Known for his incredible skill on both ends of the ice, Datsyuk won the Selke Trophy three times (2008-10) and the Lady Byng Trophy four times (2006-09).
Jeremy Roenick, the fifth-highest scoring American-born player in NHL history, was a nine-time All-Star. Drafted eighth overall in 1988, Roenick played 1,363 games over 19 seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks, Phoenix Coyotes, Philadelphia Flyers, Los Angeles Kings, and San Jose Sharks.
Shea Weber, famous for his powerful shot, played 1,038 games between the Nashville Predators and Montreal Canadiens, scoring 224 goals and 589 points. Weber also won the Mark Messier Leadership Award in 2016 and was part of Canada's gold-winning World Cup of Hockey team the same year.
Natalie Darwitz and Krissy Wendell-Pohl join Cammi Granato (2010) and Angela Ruggiero (2014) as American-born women inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Colin Campbell played 636 games in his NHL career, later transitioning to coaching and executive roles. He served as an assistant coach for the Red Wings and won a Stanley Cup with the New York Rangers in 1994. Since 1998, Campbell has been the NHL's director of hockey operations.
David Poile, who began his NHL career in 1972, became the league's winningest general manager in 2018. He served as GM for the Washington Capitals and Nashville Predators. Poile retired after the 2023 season, having won a record 1,533 games as a GM.
