DeBrincat Drops the Gloves and Sends Josi on the Floor

Last night, during a game between the Nashville Predators and the Detroit Red Wings, we saw something quite rare.

Alex DeBrincat shocked a lot of people by dropping the gloves against Roman Josi during a scrum.

The Red Wings forward, standing at 5′8″ and weighing 180 lbs doesn't engage in fights often. Seeing him take down Josi, at 6′1″, 201 lbs, was quite impressive.

Red Wings Get Back on the Winning Track in Nashville

DeBrincat's fight might have motivated the troops to get away with the win. With 37 points in 36 games, DeBrincat's offensive talents are undeniable. However, something else seems wrong in Detroit.

The Red Wings have surprisingly been struggling ever since Patrick Kane joined the team. In December, they've won only five games out of 14, despite Kane's 13 points in 12 games.

The issue seems to be at the blue line:

The team will surely look to use last night's win as a way to get back on the winning track and hope to consolidate their position as hopefuls contenders for the playoffs.
