As you know, the Coyotes bought out Alex Galchenyuk's contract for reasons we all know. Then, the forward joined the NHL's player assistance program for his alcohol problem. While he's currently in good hands, Galchenyuk is already planning his long-term future. He has just joined a players' agency in Russia. <blockquote class=twitter-tweet><p lang=en dir=ltr>Former <a href=https://twitter.com/hashtag/Yotes?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw>#Yotes</a> Alex Galchenyuk is now being represented by Winners Hockey Agency. <a href=https://t.co/uvdnJvryqa>pic.twitter.com/uvdnJvryqa</a>- Hockey News Hub (@HockeyNewsHub) <a href=https://twitter.com/HockeyNewsHub/status/1683509932799270913?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw>July 24, 2023</a></blockquote> <script async src=https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js charset=utf-8> His future could therefore lie in the KHL, and there's even one team that has openly admitted it wants him. Rinat Bashirov, Salavat Yulaev's GM, made the announcement in an interview. <blockquote class=twitter-tweet><p lang=en dir=ltr>Salavat GM Rinat Bashirov says they are interested in Alex Galchenyuk. <a href=https://twitter.com/hashtag/KHL?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw>#KHL</a> <a href=https://t.co/HrZdCBSyqd>pic.twitter.com/HrZdCBSyqd</a>- Hockey News Hub (@HockeyNewsHub) <a href=https://twitter.com/HockeyNewsHub/status/1683454878486593536?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw>July 24, 2023</a></blockquote> <script async src=https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js charset=utf-8> It was pretty clear that his NHL future was in jeopardy and that he'd be heading to another league next. There's still nothing signed, but let's just say the chances of him going to the KHL are good.
