It took a while for Quebecer Alexis Lafrenière to finally come to terms with the Rangers, but they did. The team has no wiggle room under the salary cap, which certainly hurt his contract extension. Another thing that's taking a long time is the time it's taking for him to unlock. We know Laffy has tremendous talent and the ability to produce, but he hasn't shown it for the past three years. The Rangers have decided to help him by giving him a new position. Alexis will start the next campaign on the right wing. <q>Alexis Lafrenière, on the change to right wing: I've always played on the left wing my whole career, but you have to be able to play both and I think for me, I can be good playing on the right too.
