After a stellar career that spanned over 15 years in the NHL, Wayne Simmonds has officially called it quits on his career.

A solid bottom-six winger in the NHL

While Simmonds never rose to stardom after being taken in the second round back in the 2007 NHL Draft, he would go on to have a solid career, most notably with the Kings, Flyers and most recently, the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Over that time, he would skate in 1, 037 games at the top level, tallying 263 goals and 263 assists, and now, he has declared the end of his NHL career.

For many, Simmonds will be remembered as a reliable and very likeable forward that could slot in anywhere in the lineup and do the job he was asked, and at 35-years of age, we wish him the best for his future.
