After Oliver Kylington missed the entire 2022-23 season with an injury there was cautious optimism in Calgary that he'd be able to return with a full slate of health this year. Those hopes have been dashed as the Flames announced that he failed the team's medical and fitness testing: <q>Following yesterday's medical and fitness testing, it was determined that Oliver is unable to participate in the opening of training camp today. As this is a private personal matter, no further information will be provided.</q> Kylington was a key member of the Flames' defence and his lack of health hurts the team in a big way.
