Calgary Flames Players Ejected From the Game After Vicious Hit on Cole Perfetti

Wednesday night's game between the Calgary Flames and Winnipeg Jets was filled with intensity and drama. But the highlight, or perhaps lowlight, of the evening was a dangerous, dirty, useless and vicious move by Martin Pospisil that shifted the focus away from the game.

Martin Pospisil, an AHL player striving for a permanent position with the Flames, made a dirty play one the Jets' young star, Cole Perfetti.

The severity of Pospisil's action didn't go unnoticed, resulting in an immediate game misconduct.

Perfetti's Status in Question After Pospisil's Controversial Hit

After the hit, Perfetti was escorted off the ice. The Jets later stated that it was a precautionary measure. There's also speculation that Perfetti might not be placed under concussion protocol.

"A #NHLJets official added that Perfetti was pulled from the game for precautionary reasons but is not in concussion protocol. He will be reevaluated Thursday. "


As Perfetti awaits assessment today, there's anticipation about potential repercussions for Pospisil from the NHL.
