The Canadiens and the Blackhawks have become common trading partners. After the blockbuster Kirby Dach deal, the teams traded again today.

The Canadiens acquired homegrown Nicolas Beaudin, a 23-year old left defender who was a first round pick in 2018.

In exchange, the Habs traded prospect Cam Hillis, who had a crazy 2021-22 season, playing in the NHL, AHL and ECHL.

This trade is relatively inconsequential, but Nicolas Beaudin still has potential.
