Completely unusual situation: A Wild goalie leaves a game in a hurry to "puke his brains out»

The Minnesota Wild were in action yesterday as they took on the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Just before the start of the game, the Lightning announced that goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy would not be participating in the game, even though he had participated in the warm-up. He was not able to defend his team's cage due to a virus. Veteran Brian Elliott was the starting goaltender.

This contributed greatly to the Wild's 5-1 win over the Lightning.

But what really stands out is a completely unusual situation that occurred late in the game with about 3 minutes left. Gustavsson left the game with no apparent injury and had to be replaced by Marc-Andre Fleury to finish the game.

Of course, with no real logical explanation during the game, no one in the arena understood what had just happened, until the team's head coach, Dean Evason, gave details during his post-game press conference.

"He left in a hurry to go throw up his life. I don't know any more than that. He is currently being evaluated by the team's medical staff. That's all the information I have at this time." - Dean Evason

Let's hope for the young goalie's sake that it's just a virus. Still, it's funny to remember that Vasilevskiy had to miss the game for a virus as well.

However, it is worth noting the excellent performance of the Wild goalie, who still had a solid night, allowing only one goal to a solid team like the Lightning.
