Team Canada made cuts today to finalize its starting lineup for the World Junior Championship in a few days. The team made important and controversial decisions by cutting several players from the QMJHL, as well as two Canadiens prospects. According to information reported by Stéphane Leroux of RDS, only Nathan Gaucher, Joshua Roy, Zach Dean and Tyson Hinds will be coming from the Courteau circuit. This means that Jordan Dumais, Zachary Bolduc, Evan Nause and Riley Kidney, among others, are cut. <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/StephRDSJunior/status/1602402778365759491'> </a></blockquote></div> Like Kidney, Owen Beck suffered the same fate as his future teammate with the Tricolore. He will have to wait until next year to potentially represent his country. <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/scottcwheeler/status/1602401071955066880'> </a></blockquote></div> More details will follow. <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/habsfanaticss/status/1602413747263639555?s=46&t=5C2Q3u91KDA4WGw7OGrSWw'> </a></blockquote></div>
