It's amazing how different draft lists are from one expert to another. Imagine how different teams have different lists over seven rounds now. Craig Button is undoubtedly one of the most renowned in the business, and his list is always eagerly awaited. He released it this morning and some of the picks are very surprising, including the Habs at No. 5. According to him, Will Smith would be available, but Kent Hughes would not select him. Instead, he would select Axel Sandin-Pellikka, a defenseman ranked outside the top 10.

Connor Bedard is the No. 1 overall lock on June 28, but don't be surprised if Matvei Michkov ends up as the biggest talking point of the NHL Draft.

More from the final Craig's List prospect ranking of the season (Top 100) by @CraigJButton: https://t.co/2ymTcEWRQo- TSN Hockey (@TSNHockey) June 12, 2023
It would be very surprising if Hughes and his team decided to select Sandin-Pellikka 5th overall, even more so if Will Smith is available.
