It's been nonsense for far too long, the verdict regarding the culprits of the Junior Team Canada 2018 investigation absolutely must be delivered before the start of training camps.

A few days ago, we told you about the impact that silence from the NHL would have before the start of NHL activities. It would simply be unacceptable, especially since the results of the investigation have been known by NHL executives for months.

Two major events took place on Thursday evening, leading us to believe that the verdict will soon be rendered. In fact, we can expect to hear more in the next few hours.

Philadelphia Flyers goalie Carter Hart and Vegas Golden Knights forward Brett Howden both took their Instagram accounts private, removing all mention of their respective teams.

That it happened on the same day is certainly no coincidence, especially as they were both part of Junior Team Canada in 2018. An announcement could well be coming very soon, and it could involve at least these two players.

If indeed an announcement is made and Carter Hart is in the mix, Daniel Brière may well contact Kent Hughes to inquire about Casey DeSmith. To be continued...
