The past year has not been an easy one for Shane Wright. The only good thing that happened to him, but not the least, was his gold medal with Team Canada Junior and let's be honest, he was not one of the main players of the Canadian attack. Aside from the golden jewel around his neck, Wright has had a string of disappointments and changes. It all started in the draft, when he slipped to fourth overall. He then split his time between the press box and the Kraken, eventually playing a few games in the AHL and returning to junior. Not only that, he was traded shortly after and his team, the Windsor Spitfires, were eliminated from the OHL playoffs prematurely. Wright is now playing for the Kraken's school club, but he's not producing either.

It can't be easy to be constantly changing teams and leagues, and it directly affects his performance.
