The Vegas Golden Knights are known for doing things their own way. Recently, it was revealed that they had a unique plan for celebrating their Stanley Cup victory.

They decided to engrave the trophy before any of the players had a chance to spend time with it. It's a small detail, but it makes them different from everyone else.

Now, there's a new issue causing a stir. Fans have noticed that Nolan Patrick's name is missing from the list of engraved names on the Stanley Cup. Despite being under contract with the Knights when they won, his name is nowhere to be found.

Rules are Rules

In 2021, Patrick agreed to play for the Knights for two years. However, he was unable to play due to a serious migraine issue throughout the season.

The Stanley Cup has a limit of 52 names that can be engraved, including players, staff, and management. There are certain requirements that must be met in order to have your name on the Cup. Unfortunately, Patrick didn't meet any of those requirements. He didn't play the minimum number of games in the season, and he didn't participate in any playoff matches.

Because of this, Patrick's absence from the Cup is causing a lot of controversy.

However, it's understandable that the Knights would want to honor those who actively contributed to the team's success throughout the season.

Do you think Vegas should have written Patrick's name on the Stanley Cup?
