Unsurprisingly, Kent Hughes will have some decisions to make before the start of the season, as there are too many players in Montreal.
If no transactions are made by Kent Hughes, players will have to be put to the waivers, and according to Arpon Basu, the first candidate has already been targeted.
"I'm taking it for granted that, barring several major injuries in training camp, Rem Pitlick will be placed on the NHL waivers."
- Via The Athletic
With one year at 1.1 million remaining on Pitlick's contract, he shouldn't figure in Martin St-Louis' plans. The ball is in his court, he could arrive at camp and perform, but it remains unlikely that he'll outperform 12 other forwards.
In 2021-22, he was very effective with the CH, but last year didn't go so well. Let's hope he can seize his chance at training camp.
