Saturday afternoon, the Flames and the Lightning crossed swords in Calgary. This duel meant Jakob Pelletier's first game in the NHL. Of course, Pelletier was used in a rather limited role, as is often the case in the early days. His head coach, Darryl Sutter, made a point of reminding everyone of this. A reporter asked Sutter for his impressions of Pelletier in his first game. The coach asked what number he was, as if he didn't know the young man was in the lineup. He looked at the game sheet, repeated what was written in terms of playing time and statistics, said he is 21 years old and has a long way to go. <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/flamesnation/status/1616937986050129921?s=46&t=58EAOkh5q4_OgLUZvn_tZw'> </a></blockquote></div> The reactions are numerous: <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/ericfrancis/status/1616932208199237632?s=46&t=58EAOkh5q4_OgLUZvn_tZw'> </a></blockquote></div> <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/tonymarinaro/status/1616961100263706624?s=46&t=58EAOkh5q4_OgLUZvn_tZw'> </a></blockquote></div> <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/darrenwhaynes/status/1616946548688179200?s=46&t=58EAOkh5q4_OgLUZvn_tZw'> </a></blockquote></div> <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/wesgilbertson/status/1616962387080536064?s=46&t=58EAOkh5q4_OgLUZvn_tZw'> </a></blockquote></div> <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/salimvalji/status/1616937448105467904?s=46&t=58EAOkh5q4_OgLUZvn_tZw'> </a></blockquote></div> Imagine being a young player living his dream and hearing these words from your coach at the end of the game. Ouch!
