The Tampa Lightning went into Toronto and secured a massive 7-3 win, beating the Leafs once again.

Jon Cooper is renowned for his skill in using verbal tactics to outmaneuver his opponents during media interactions. While it's uncertain if this latest quote is a strategic move, it remains a compelling statement worth noting.

It's very possible the Leafs still win the series, since it's only game one. For that to happen though, the Leafs will need to play much better.

Despite his team's convincing victory over the Leafs, Jon Cooper surprised the media by suggesting that the Lightning may still lose the series. Such a statement is rare for a coach, particularly given the lopsided nature of the game.

Game 2 of the series is set to be played tonight at the Air Canada Centre.

A must win game for Toronto who don't have one of their top forwards in Michael Bunting due to suspension.
