Joshua Roy has a lot of work to do to reach the NHL

Although Joshua Roy won the QMJHL scoring championship last year, as well as the gold medal at the World Junior Championship this summer, he remains a long way from the NHL and there is a very specific reason why he was selected in the fifth round.

Roy has a lot of work to do to improve his skating. In an increasingly fast-paced National Hockey League, a player with Joshua's talent can't simply rely on his offensive skills to perform.

The young prospect knows this and is taking all the advice Adam Nicholas has given him to really improve this aspect of his game. Let's hope he's able to do that, because Roy has a lot of potential and he could become quite a steal.
