The Montreal Canadiens' prospect had another great season with the Sherbrooke Phoenix this year.

Despite missing several games due to his participation in the World Junior Championship, Joshua Roy finished 8th in the QMJHL in scoring with 46 goals and 53 assists in 55 games.

His impressive performances earned him a nomination for the Michel-Brière Trophy for most valuable player in the regular season.

Halifax Mooseheads forward Jordan Dumais and Victoriaville Tigres goaltender Nathan Darveau are also among the three finalists for the precious trophy.

After sweeping the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada in the first round of the playoffs, the Phoenix will face the Drummondville Voltigeurs in the second round. Eric Belanger's team caused a surprise by eliminating the Victoriaville Tigres in only five games.

The first game of the series will take place on Friday night at 7:00 p.m., when the 19-year-old forward will try to continue his success, having collected five goals and five assists in four games since the beginning of the series.

Although the Quebecer may be back in the junior ranks next year, there is no doubt that he will be with the Laval Rocket, having signed his first professional contract with the Habs on March 30.
