Montreal Canadiens rookie Juraj Slafkovsky received a nice visit after yesterday's game against the Maple Leafs at the Bell Centre. Canadiens veteran Richard Zednik had good words for the young rookie. Juraj is a big story in Slovakia, he said. He played for the national team last year (Olympics and World Championship) and he was our best player. He was still very young. He is my son's favourite player. There is a lot of talk about him in the media in my country. We will analyse his game. When I watch him play, Juraj reminds me of a young Jaromir Jagr, he continued. He can beat a defender into a corner and come out with the puck because of his physicality. He can create scoring chances himself. What advice did he give him? I told him to have fun in Montreal, he's lucky to be in a city where people love hockey. He's just 18, he needs to have fun and not read too much into what people say about him.
