The NHL draft is Wednesday, and for the occasion, as you know, Kent Hughes and the Canadiens will be talking at No. 5. The last time this happened, the Tricolore selected a certain Carey Price. 18 years later, it's safe to say that he's changed the face of the franchise. It has nothing to do with this year's 5th ranking, but Kent Hughes has the opportunity to draft a player who will change the face of the team for a long time to come. If Matvei Michkov is available, his decision to take him or not could be excellent or catastrophic for the CH. We talk a lot about the young Russian's risks, but rarely about what he can bring to the table. <q>We hear a lot about the potential downside (risks) of drafting Matvei Michkov, but we should talk more about the upside. His selection is risky, of course, but the CH hasn't had the opportunity to draft a player like this in a very long time. We're also talking about Ryan Leonard and David Reinbacher, and in all honesty, without wishing to be too harsh, there are players like them in every draft.
