The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that they have placed defenseman Axel Rindell's name on waivers in an effort to end his contract. Drafted in the sixth round by the Leafs in 2020, Rindell has been blanked in six games this season in the AHL, but has recorded four points in five games in the ECHL. All indications are that he will return to Europe in the next few days. The latter had done well during his last seasons in the Liiga, which is the best Finnish league. His transfer to North America seemed promising, but clearly the result was not what was expected. <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/FriedgeHNIC/status/1603465638865174528?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1603465638865174528%7Ctwgr%5Eac7ebb597dbfa558a1bda2066be04fe4dde61841%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.rumeursdetransaction.com%2FLes-Maple-Leafs-placent-un-joueur-au-ballottage-187813'> </a></blockquote></div>
