With 74 players invited to the Habs' training camp, we've seen many of the organization's young prospects in action, but after the wave of 23 player cuts announced on Thursday, the real work begins. Obviously, there will be more cuts, but the remaining prospects still have a chance to prove to their coaches that they belong in the Bettman circuit. Let's just say that the ball is in their court. For tonight's game against the Senators, we will see Jonathan Drouin in a first prep game, while many good young players will be in the lineup.

Note that the third and fourth line could be regular lineups in Laval this year. Also, the young Owen Beck will again have the chance to lead the first trio, this time with two offensive players in Drouin and Hoffman. At the back end, Justin Barron will have to prove that he belongs in the NHL, as he has been slow to get going this camp. Cayden Primeau will get a good test, as he could be cut in the next round if he doesn't find a way to make key saves at the NHL level.
