The Vegas Golden Knights have taken a 2-0 series lead in the Stanley Cup final, after a commanding 7-2 win. However, what most are talking about was the hit from Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk laying out Golden Knights forward Jack Eichel during the 2nd period. Tkachuk would comment after the game saying: <q>It doesn't matter who you are, don't go through the middle of the ice with your head down or you're going to get hit</q> Many Golden Knights fans were worried about Eichel's status until he returned for the 3rd period. After the game Eichel also spoke on the hit, and surprisingly defended Tkachuk. <q>He finishes what I saw was a clean check on me. It's a physical game. You're gonna get hit sometimes.</q> It was a clean hit, and thankfully for Golden Knights fans, Eichel appears to be just fine as the series now heads to Florida down 2-0. <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/Sportsnet/status/1665900239692132352?t=jDEzMXjY-fC3oONQWxyGZg&s=19'> </a></blockquote></div> <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/TheAthleticNHL/status/1665926821018324993?t=a7UGanexiIezrgW8Zb46GA&s=19'> </a></blockquote></div> <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/mikeystephens81/status/1665920892814368768?t=NnwUUpT4LNhnvzYREXqRkA&s=19'> </a></blockquote></div> <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/Sportsnet/status/1665922880797024256?t=NnwUUpT4LNhnvzYREXqRkA&s=19'> </a></blockquote></div>
