Nick Suzuki is increasingly developing into a leader with the Montreal Canadiens and the community. Not only does number 14 lead by example on the ice and at practice, he also participates in many charitable activities and is very present for the fans. In fact, he spent his summer in Montreal. Suzuki is currently still in the metropolis and Stu Cowan of The Gazette spoke with him at the BioSteel camp. One thing is certain, Nick is ready and he has high expectations: I'm excited to make people lie, he confided. I think people are selling us short. I was talking to Sean Monahan about our formation. We have a pretty deep team, and I think we're underestimated quite a bit. That's not a bad thing, actually. I think we'll surprise people. - Nick Suzuki

Admittedly, the Habs' centre line has become quite solid this summer and there are plenty of forwards available, but the defence still leaves something to be desired. The five players on the ice will have to work hard in front of Jake Allen and Samuel Montembeault, or Suzuki's optimism may be short-lived.
