Laval Rocket head coach Jean-François Houle was on TSN 690 with Mitch Gallo in the last few days. First, the two men talked about the great season the Rocket just had, losing in the conference finals to the Springfield Thunderbirds. They then praised the brilliance of Cayden Primeau, without whom the team would not have made it this far in the playoffs. However, it was the comments about Rafael Harvey-Pinard and Jesse Ylonen that caught our attention. Houle firmly believes that both young players are ready to play in the NHL. In the case of Harvey-Pinard, it's a meteoric rise. Selected in the seventh round in 2019, he already has almost two full years under his belt in the AHL and could cause a surprise at the Habs camp, but... With potentially 17 forwards available to the Canadiens, Harvey-Pinard and Ylonen will have to give it their all to earn a spot in the lineup.
