The Habs' young captain, Nick Suzuki, has been a beast on the ice this season. At only 23 years old, he is really putting himself in the discussion as one of the best center players in the NHL. In addition to being known for having phenomenal vision and great playmaking skills, the CH number 14 is showing this year that he can score a ton of goals as well. After 21 games so far, he already has 12 goals and 12 assists for a total of 24 points. On that note, he is ranked first in the NHL in an incredible statistic for goals scored. According to the most recent Advanced Stats Report, Suzuki is first in the entire league in goals scored above expectations, with a +6.8 rating. In other words, he scored almost seven more goals than expected by the statistics. So this means in a sense that Suzy is very opportunistic in his scoring chances.

You can see that he is in front of very talented players like Erik Karlsson, Bo Horvat, Connor McDavid, JT Miller, Mikko Rantanen, Jason Robertson and Trevor Zegras. What a season our captain is having!
