RDS analyst and BPM Sports contributor Norman Flynn has made controversial statements that have created much debate. But he did it again today when he said that the Tricolore made excuses during their post-season review. Too many excuses, I don't like excuses. Last year, I said we shouldn't judge Martin St-Louis, it wasn't his team. This year, it was his team and there are some things I didn't like. For example, we're at game #50 and you're still talking about your defensive system, listen carefully, if your defensive system isn't there at game 50, there's a bad problem. You may have a lot of young players, but a game system is not that complicated. - Norman Flynn Wow! The latter pointed the finger squarely at head coach Martin St. Louis, who has had to deal with a roster full of AHL players for almost half the season. At one point in the year, Montreal was missing nearly a dozen players who had started the season. If Flynn can't understand that there was no stability in the Habs' lineup, other than Nick Suzuki, who was the only player in 82 games this year, then clearly that's the problem. We could have put any of the best coaches in the history of the NHL in St-Louis' place, he certainly would not have done any better. These comments from Flynn are squarely in the field in our opinion.
