It's dropping like flies in the media world. Several talented employees covering NHL hockey, to name a few, have mysteriously lost their jobs lately. So it's only natural to wonder when a star host is off the air for several days online. Jeff O'Neill, the host of TSN 1050's Overdrive and TSN's NHL anchor, has been off the air for several days without a public explanation. A Bell Media spokesperson confirmed that he was away, but did not elaborate on the reasons for his absence. O'Neill's co-hosts expressed appreciation for the messages of support and said the show would continue without him for now. O'Neill has been with TSN since 2013 and is a former NHL player having played for the Hartford Whalers/Carolina Hurricanes and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
