Patrice Bergeron has a guaranteed spot in the Hockey Hall of Fame. Until then, the Quebecer has agreed to play one more season with the Bruins. It was a good decision, as the Bruins are second overall in the NHL. Appearing on the 32 Thoughts podcast with Jeff Marek and Elliotte Friedman, Patrice Bergeron admitted that he would only agree to play in two places. Obviously, his and his family's lives have been in Boston for a very long time, so there's nothing surprising about this choice, but the second option is pretty amazing. Bergeron would have agreed to play in Quebec City, if there was a team, of course. That's a great question. I would really have to think about it. It would be really hard for me to leave the Bruins, but if there was one place I would consider, it would be Quebec City. Absolutely.

Bergeron is a native of the Quebec City area and grew up a fan of the Nordiques. Too bad for him, the return of a team in Quebec City does not seem possible in the short term.
