The New York Rangers were in town yesterday to take on the Montreal Canadiens. The game ended in a 4-3 win for the Blue Shirts in a shootout.

However, one detail that caught the eye was the information that was reported by journalist Renaud Lavoie, about Rangers newcomer Patrick Kane.

The star forward went to dinner with two Habs players, including a little surprise, the night before the game.

It is obviously Kirby Dach, his former teammate in Chicago, and Cole Caufield, who is the little surprise. The CH number 22 had never met Kane before.

"Patrick Kane was telling me this morning that he broke bread with Kirby Dach and Cole Caufield last night. It was the first time Caufield and Kane had ever met." - Renaud Lavoie

Kane has obviously maintained a great relationship with Dach, who never held back from speaking his mind on the trade he felt was unwarranted regarding No. 77.

It was surely a great time for Caufield to be around one of the best players in the history of his country.
