We've known for a while now that this will most likely be Patrick Roy's last year on the Quebec Remparts' bench. The plan is for Simon Gagné to take over next season.

On the airwaves of BPM Sports, Jean-Charles Lajoie came up with a very interesting idea for the future of Roy's career. Indeed, JiC sees the famous number 33 becoming head coach of the Senators, nothing less.

"It's time to get the shop in order. It's all crooked. It takes a new wave coach. Imagine: Patrick Roy as head coach, his two assistants Louis Robitaille and Benoit Groulx, the last two coaches of the Gatineau Olympiques with Casseau. It would be sensational!"

Expectations were high in Ottawa this season, with the emergence of youth and the addition of several key veterans, including Claude Giroux and Alex DeBrincat. Unfortunately for them, the season has started out sluggish and it's starting to smell like hot soup for head coach DJ Smith.

If the team can't win, general manager Pierre Dorion will have no choice but to make a change.
