Had he still been in the Montreal Canadiens organization, many agree that Phillip Danault would have been the next captain of the Tricolore. Instead of giving the CH players a chance, Danault became a mentor to several youngsters with the Los Angeles Kings last season. So much so that he has already earned the title of assistant captain with barely a season in LA. During his stay in Montreal, Danault certainly played the role of mentor for the CH's new captain, Nick Suzuki.
