Predictions put Canadiens in strong position for Connor Bedard lottery

Many fans would have liked to delay the Canadiens' first overall pick until next year and get their hands on Connor Bedard. However, all hope is not lost.

Marco D'Amico of The Hockey Writers has an article on the subject and he mentions that according to BetOnline.ag, the Canadiens are expected to finish 30th in the NHL ahead of Chicago and Arizona.

This would still be a two-place improvement from last year when they finished last and had the highest percentage chance of drafting first. However, even if Martin St-Louis' men finish 30th, the chances are still there to win the Connor Bedard lottery.
