Shane Wright's time in Seattle has not been smooth sailing. He's been scratched more often than not (4 straight games), and when he's dressed, he's averaging only 6:51 of ice time. This has prompted experts to consider the possibility of Wright returning to the OHL for the 2022-23 campaign. According to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, if Wright were to return to the OHL, he would be traded. The Kingston Frontenacs have applied to host the Memorial Cup in 2024 and are hoping to stock up on young players to be more competitive within the next two years.
