It has just been announced that the Calgary Flames have reached an agreement with Matthew Coronato, the promising young rookie who was selected 13th overall in the 2021 draft. He signed a three-season entry-level contract with the Flames, and should possibly burn the first year of his deal this year. He was previously a teammate of Sean Farrell at Harvard University. He now follows in Farrell's footsteps by signing his first official professional contract on the same day. The 20 year old American forward managed to score 20 goals and accumulate a total of 36 points in 34 games.
