Let's face it, the Habs' season has been painful in almost every way. The start of the campaign was beyond expectations, but the numerous injuries and the lack of experience of several players will have taken their toll on the team. The negative points are easy to name, but there were several positive points worth mentioning. Indeed, the Tricolore was able to build something very solid for the future of the club. For starters, even though the assistants to captain Nick Suzuki are theoretically Brendan Gallagher and Joel Edmundson, it's safe to say that a new group of leaders was born with David Savard and Michael Matheson. Rookies Kaiden Guhle and Arber Xhekaj have been great surprises despite their young age, and what about Kent Hughes' summer acquisitions Michael Matheson, Sean Monahan and Kirby Dach. Honorable mention to Rafaël Harvey-Pinard and Alex Belzile, who both did very well when they were recalled from the Rocket and gave themselves a great chance to play in the NHL next season. Finally, the fiery duo of Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield rocked the Bell Centre many times before the #22 injury and an exciting chemistry was born between the two.
